Design Command Brought Back Former Glory of Beautiful Venue

Wildwood Cheam is a member of “Wildwood Restaurants”, a group which carefully choose venues located in beautiful buildings and revive their glory. Former old grocery located in Cheam – a large suburban village in the London Borough of Sutton, was turned into a bright and airy restaurant, offering combination of classics and modern signatures featuring a great selection of pizza and pasta, grills and seasonal specials. The project was completed by London-based interior architecture studio Design Command Limited.

“The site ended up being more of a restoration project, in which we uncovered most of the original features of the building’s former use in the early mid 20th century as a Sainsbury’s store. The exposing of the beautiful floor and wall tiles brought it back to its former glory. In turn this became the scheme for the rest of the space, replicating the colours from the original mosaic flooring. We are very proud of Wildwood Cheam and delighted with the end result,” said Design Command Limited
